Saying one stupid thing does not make you a stupid person, and telling one lie does not turn you into a liar. Nor does saying two. But there is a cumulative effect, in the same way as a grain of sand does not make a beach but many do (do not fall into the continuum fallacy).

    It really sounds like a truism :), but you're right.
    And it's curious that the accumulation of stupidities/lies makes that from a certain moment you think about a person like a stupid or a lier... but it's (almost) a no return way. Once there's a beach, you can't make dissapear all the grains of sand and recover the ground.
